Photo chronicle of the development of Atyrau (Guriev) 1880 - 1917
Almost all of the presented pictures were taken in the Atyrau region and in the city itself many years ago. Only some pictures were taken near our city, but they perfectly convey the spirit of that time. The first photographs were taken by travelers and researchers starting from 1870-1880, when the photography technique first appeared. All submitted photographs were obtained from various sources on the Internet and are freely available.
